The business career of Nasar Ramadan Dagga, CEO of CLX Group and president of MultiMax, began long before his name became associated with major electronics and home appliance retail chains. His early career dates back to the family business in the municipality of Juan José Mora, Carabobo state, where he gained experience in sales and marketing before becoming one of the leading executives in the Venezuelan retail sector.

In this regard, the Carabobo-born entrepreneur took his first steps at Comercializadora La Linda, a furniture store in Morón founded by his family, where he worked for a decade as sales manager.

Although he holds a law degree, his natural calling led him to the business world. Over the following years, he expanded his experience in the business sector by taking on the role of commercial director at Cyberlux de Venezuela, a firm that represented brands such as Philco, Hoover, and Hyundai. The company strengthened its business relationships with international manufacturers and expanded its presence in the Venezuelan market.

Later, the entrepreneur launched his own brands, Cyberlux and Frigilux, establishing them as key players in the country’s assembly industry. Building on that experience, he began to build his own business structure.

The Arrival of CLX Group: Innovation and Global Partnerships

The year 2013 marked a turning point with the founding of Consorcio LUX, initially conceived as a wholesale distributor of white goods, brown goods, mobile phones, and household appliances in Venezuela.

But in 2014, a major milestone occurred: the company became an Official Partner of Samsung in Venezuela. Thanks to this partnership, the Samsung Brand Shops—or CLX Samsung stores—were opened, a modern concept that offers Venezuelans an interactive shopping experience featuring cutting-edge technology.

The company later adopted the name CLX Group, which refers to a conglomerate of companies such as CLX Samsung, MultiMax, Xio Latin, HONOR, and CLX ICONS. The strategy of the group, led by Dagga, was to integrate various stages of the business—import, wholesale distribution, retail sales, and technical service—a model that has allowed it to control a significant portion of the supply chain.

Consequently, this diversification made it possible to reduce dependence on a single line of business and consolidate a corporate structure with a presence in various areas of the technology market.

MultiMax, the country’s largest multi-brand retailer

Nasar Ramadan Dagga Mujamad’s entrepreneurial journey continues with the opening of MultiMax, a chain of big-box stores that sells appliances, cell phones, computers, and household goods. In 2019, he opened the first store in Valencia, Carabobo state.

Since then, the company has expanded rapidly, with 49 stores in 22 states across the country. Each store offers customers a wide variety of products, thanks to the presence of more than 400 well-known brands in the domestic and international markets.

The business strategy combined high-impact advertising campaigns, grand openings featuring public figures, and large-scale promotions that helped establish the so-called “largest multi-brand retailer in the country” in the minds of consumers.

CLX Foundation

The vision of this Carabobo-based entrepreneur extends beyond the corporate world. On numerous occasions, he has expressed his commitment to creating opportunities that foster growth and well-being in Venezuela.

To achieve this, Dagga, through the CLX Foundation, promotes educational and social initiatives, particularly programs related to sports, technological innovation, and youth development.

Finally, Nasar Dagga’s business career illustrates how an employee can go from working in a family business to leading a conglomerate with national and international reach in a context marked by various economic and social challenges.
