The presentation took place on the morning of Wednesday, July 22, in London, where Samsung unveiled its vision for Autonomous Artificial Intelligence (Agentic AI). Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra
Designed to fit seamlessly into the user’s daily routine, the new Galaxy Z Fold8 is the lightest foldable in Samsung’s history. Weighing just 201 grams, this device features a Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 processor specially optimized for Galaxy; it also boasts a 4,800 mAh battery and the innovative Flex Titanium frame, offering greater shock absorption.
On the camera front, the standard Galaxy Z Fold8 model features dual 50MP cameras, Dual Recording, and the AI-powered My FanCam feature, which enables automatic subject tracking.
For its part, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra raises the bar to a new level of excellence, becoming the thinnest model ever created in the Z Fold line thanks to a profile of just 4.1 mm when unfolded.

When it comes to AI features, the new Galaxy Z series sets the standard for Samsung’s next generation of mobile AI. With this device, features such as Now Nudge were announced, in which AI identifies plans within a conversation and suggests next steps (such as checking the calendar or saving a location).
Additionally, the Gemini Notebook tool makes it easy to organize notes, images, and documents in an integrated workspace.
This entire technological experience is protected by the Samsung Knox multi-layered security architecture, which integrates the Personal Data Engine (PDE), KEEP encrypted protection, and Knox Vault. Furthermore, with the new One UI 9 operating system, users have access to an AI assistant activity dashboard to monitor and manage their personal data usage with complete transparency.
The new Galaxy Z lineup will be available in a color palette that includes Graphite and Cream, as well as exclusive shades such as Violet Shadow for the Fold8 Ultra, Lavender for the Fold8, and Pink for the Flip8.

As part of the new products unveiled during this Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. Ushering in a new era of AI-powered health monitoring, these devices feature a Snapdragon Wear Elite processor.
