This Friday, May 16, CLX FC makes a triumphant return to the Monumental League in its debut week, marking the start of a second edition of this tournament of legends with its first match of the season against Petroleros. A new format, new protagonists and all the excitement return in this new Monumental dream.
Once again, Lenin Bastidas joins the team for the second year as technical director of the technological team, training with determination to overcome the obstacles of this unprecedented championship. The match will start at 8:00 PM, from the Simon Bolivar Monumental Stadium in Caracas, bringing the awaited confrontation between the teams of the former captain of Barça and current legend of the Blue Fury, Carles Puyol, and the Brazilian, Marcelo Vieira, representative of the rival squad.

Wearing for the first time the blue and white colors, this year the Influencer and renowned TV presenter Adrián Lara joined the directors and technical team of CLX FC, along with Miss Elite Venezuela 2022, Yanuaria Verde, as the new godmother of this second season of the most emblematic tournament in the country. As a legend and one of the most relevant figures in the history of FC Barcelona, Carles Puyol joins the team this year after 11 years of retirement, with more than 21 titles behind him and two international cups: the Euro Cup in 2008 and the World Cup in 2010.
As the main novelty this year, the Monumental League has implemented new rules, revolutionizing this competition to provide more spectacle with the same passion for sports entertainment that made history in 2024.
There will be a total of 12 days, for 20 games. On each day, three 15-minute mini-games will be played, each of which will award a crucial point. The eight best teams of the regular round will advance to the quarterfinals, then to the semifinals and finally, the two best teams will play the grand final for the 2025 championship.
The original eight teams, Vikingos del Caribe, VNET JET, Los Extraterrestres FC, CLX FC, Vergatarios FC, Patacones FC, Cacique FC and La Cosa Nostra FC, current champions of this format, will be joined by two new contenders, Navegantes de Caracas and Petroleros FC.
